Description

Famed, of course, for my unique red skin and unparalleled skills as a general of the House of War, I, the Red Prince, was raised within the vast palaces of the fabled Forbidden City. I was destined to become the next emperor, but my ambitions suffered a bit of a setback when I fell from grace for cavorting with demons. Now I'm exiled and hunted by assassins, but I assure you: I remain undaunted - and as determined as ever to claim my rightful throne!

-Red Prince

Well, this was definitely one of the biggest projects me and XenoMaker have worked on for porting all the raw assets of the Red Prince into Blender! Me sifting through and compiling all the mesh and texture files, Xeno setting up and refining all the material nodes for making the detail look as accurate as possible, and setting it up so that the end-user, you, can have full customization of how you want to colour each part!

HOW TO USE

The Red Prince uses a number of Node Groups where all the magic happens! In the material editor, you click on a node group (the green node) and press tab to enter that group to see all the nodes contained within.

  • DoS2-Skin-base contains the colour wheels for changing the colour of the skin and frills on the Naked mesh parts.

DS2-Armor contains the colour wheels for changing the colour of different parts of the clothing meshes - metal, leather, and primary colours.

For the Dreamer body, DoS2-Skin-Base has 2 settings at the bottom of the node, Glow Amount and Glow Mix. Adjust these to change the intensity and strength of the tattoos that glow on the Dreamer's mesh parts. Glow-Thingy contains the colour wheels for changing the colour of the tattoos that glow - only 2 different colours.

Claw Finger (located in the Skeleton collection) has the same setup as Dreamer body nodes. Adjust the Glow amount and mix, and edit the Glow-Thingy to change what colour the glow on the claw finger is.

DS2-Items contains the colour wheels for changing the colour of different parts of the weapons, shields and other items.

Some clothing sets contain pieces of the naked body underneath the attire and use their own set of textures. Be sure to toggle off the visibility and render state for Naked mesh pieces that overlap the clothing ones!

Two versions of the file will be available for download.

RedPrince_LT is the Light Version, containing solely the Naked mesh

RedPrince_FullSet is everything as seen in the preview images!

Model extracted by myself, huuuuge kudos to XenoMaker for setting up the material nodes
