This took the most of the time on this project. Every item has a Properties bone with a whole bunch of custom controls set up to fully control the colors and the setup of the weapon. For colors, this means usually around 3 different base colors, a pattern with its own color, the color of the metal, the color and brightness of the glowey bits, etc. For the attachments, most weapons have toggleable scopes, muzzles, and barrels.

Misc other stuff:

  • Works in Eevee & Cycles
  • All weapons are fully rigged for her pleasure. Say what you will about Andromeda, these weapon models are sublime.
  • Textures are included as separate files rather than packaging them. The blend file uses relative file reference and there should be no issues.
  • All original meshes are included as well if you would like to do stuff with them.
  • Blender 3.4 changed (read: broke) how MixRGB nodes work. These files will likely not work on older version of Blender.
  • The Revenant has some funky transparency on it. Couldn't get it to work with Eevee but the material is set up to have a separate system for Eevee so you can still use it in both. IDK if any other weapons have or are intended to have this kinda interior geometry with little "windows" into it.
  • Some (not all) of the weapons include the thermal clip object in it and the controls for it. Some others either do not have a place for them or have a separate clip mesh included in the main body.

Update 12.24.2022

Updated to now include the Angara Sovoa assault rifle. This was a weapon added to the game post launch and is multiplayer only. Also made some extremely minor changes to the material system. Differences should be nearly imperceptible compared to the old system but it makes it more consistent with how some of the other MEA ports I'm working on are being handled. Also moved the Clip and its files into its own folder for clenliness' sake.
