Bits n Bobs (rigify feature set)

Description

This is a rigify feature set containing various rig types that I personally find useful when rigging (hence Bits n Bobs).

Disclaimer:

The target audience for this feature set is people with a decent grasp of rigify, if this is not you please familiarize yourself with the addon first.

Installation

  1. Download the zip file
  2. Navigate to Edit>Preferences>Add-ons>rigify
  3. Install feature Set from file, and select the zip file

Changelog

v0.1.1

  • Fixed a bone roll issue causing the rig to misbehave (most visible on arms)

v0.1.0

  • initial release

Rig Types

The feature set currently contains 2 rig types:

BnB.limbs.arm & BnB.limbs.leg

  • An extension to the default rigify leg/arm types that inserts and additional joint bone between the upper and lower limb segments to simulate a ball socket and create additional space between the segments when the limb bends. All while maintaining the same familiar controls present in the default rigify limb types.

Each of the types above has a dedicated tutorial blend file where the rig type is explained in detail. Please study these before asking any questions.
