The flame is a simple plane and its material is procedural. It has a noise texture animated which serves as a transparency mask. The plane has also a subtle displace modifier with an animated noise texture to move/displace it a bit. The plane always faces the camera with a "locked track" constraint. Easy to use for your animations and to add realism to them. Modelled by me :)
